Description
Trifexis is a beef-flavored chewable tablet for dogs that contains several parasite preventatives and lasts up to 30 days per dose. Trifexis should be given once a month for optimal, year-round protection from fleas, flea infestations, and heartworm disease. Trifexis can also be used to treat and manage adult hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. It is recommended that your dog be tested for heartworm prior to giving them Trifexis. Trifexis is intended for use in dogs and puppies over 8 weeks old that weight 5 lbs. or more.
Side effects from taking Trifexis are rare but may include skin irritation, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and a lack of appetite.
